Ketu - Puja and Havan
“Palaash pushpa sankaasham taraka graha mastakam roudram roudraatmakam ghoram tam ketum pranamaamyaham”
The idol of the Ketu should be made using brass. Ketu is described in several forms in different scriptures. It is of smoky color with a pair of arms, one holding a club and another in a blessing posture and showing riding on a donkey having a steady speed.
Moon (Chandra) - Puja and Havan
“Dadhi shankha tushaarabham ksheero darnava sambhavam namaami shashinam somam shambhor mukuta bhooshanam”
The idol of the Moon should be made using Sphatika (a kind of stone). Moon should be perceived duly attired in white clothes, riding a chariot pulled by ten horses, bedecked with white ornaments, holding mace in one hand and giving blessings with the other.
Venus (Shukra) - Puja and Havan
“Hima kundaa mrinalaabham daityanaam paramam gurum sarv shastra pravaktaaram bhargavem pranamamyaham”
The idol of the Venus should be made in silver (or in silver color). Venus should be perceived duly attired in white. Having four arms holding staff, Aksha sutra, Kamandal and the fourth hand in a state of blessing posture.
Mars (Mangal) - Puja and Havan
“Dharanee garbha sambhootam vidyut kaanti samaprabham kumaram shakti hastam tam mangalam pranamamyaham”
The idol of the Mars should be made using red sandal. Mars should be perceived adorning rosary of red color and red clothes, having four hands bedecked with sword, axe and mace (gada). One hand is in blessing posture, riding on a quadruped lamb.
